We were founded in Umeå, in northern Sweden, but we have roots and influences from Lapland and Pakistan. Living in Västerbotten is happiness! We are the region in the world with the highest Social Progress Index, an indicator that makes a complete assessment of people’s well-being in a society, based on various social, cultural and environmental variables.
Our location in the Arctic with its cold, beautiful nature and long distances means that we humans need to take care of our surroundings and each other, and we do that with joy and pride! We see it as our duty to pass on these values.

It all started with a passion to develop innovative, durable and functional clothing while solving the problems of people who sweat more than average.
Ideal Underwear was founded in Umeå, in northern Sweden and we have roots and influences from Lapland and Pakistan. We are both serial entrepreneurs who have a long background in product development and problem solving through innovation and we are both passionate about contributing to a better and sustainable society.
Krister is a business developer and inventor, introduced as a mentor to Mudassar through a mentoring program to help Mudassar with business development for his sustainable sock brand.
During one of our mentor/adept meetings, Krister curiously asked – “Mudassar, do you think it is possible to develop a really durable, functional and sweat-proof t-shirt for everyone who sweats?” Krister went on to talk about the problems with sweat stains on his shirts and blazers and how it can sometimes disturb confidence in certain social contexts. Mudassar who is a textile engineer, shared his thoughts on some possible solutions and then confidently replied, – Yes!
Long story short, we developed our first prototypes of a t-shirt with a sweat-proof three-layer protection under the arms in the world’s most durable fiber Hemp and Tencel.
These materials have the best properties for sensitive skin, natural and multi-functional, and we both then started testing the product in various hot, pressing, stressful and sweaty situations. The initial results were very promising and we were both proud and hopeful to be able to offer a product that solves a major personal problem for the 15% of the world’s population who suffer from excessive sweating.
But of course we weren’t done. In the following three years, we continued to improve our product, to make it as sustainable as possible, for both people and the environment – and that through these T-shirts we can contribute to a more long-term and sustainable world, where people can feel safe from inside and out.
Naming the T-shirt became simpler – Ideal Underwear.
It feels like a direct description of the philosophy behind the brand and the promise we make to our prospective customers. We offer a unique collection of underwear that is ideal for people who sweat.

Exercises basically daily and sweats very easily. Tested the shirt both on the track and in warm dance halls. The shields under the arms work excellently and the material in the slim shirt makes you feel almost dry during the sessions and the fact that you don’t have to wash it so often is a real bonus.
This t-shirt has truly surpassed all things that I could only dream of. Now you can feel how the sweat runs down the upper body in bits and pieces, but in some strange way is caught and absorbed by the t-shirt without being carried on to the outer garments. After a whole evening of dancing, there is still no impact on the shirt, which was also dung-sour before. I don’t sweat much but I like the idea of not having to wash my shirts as often. It works far beyond my expectations and now I wash half as often as before. I also love that the t-shirt gets nicer and nicer the more I wear it!

Once you start sweating and sweat stains appear on your clothes and dry, the salt, proteins and oils in the sweat can leave marks. These usually disappear in normal machine washing.
There are many ways, but the most common is to use antiperspirant or deodorant. They contain different substances and many products are both antiperspirant and deodorant at the same time.
You can seek help if you sweat a lot and deodorants with antiperspirants do not help and you feel it is a problem. There are many different types of treatments and medications.
The smell of sweat depends on your bacteria. Different types of bacteria produce different types of sweat odor. But there are also other things that can affect sweat smelling bad, such as eating unhealthy or strong food. Certain medications and hormonal changes can also affect the smell of sweat.
Be careful about hygiene if you feel that your sweat smells. Sweat smells almost nothing until it comes into contact with bacteria. Please wash yourself with a mild soap that does not dry out the skin. You can try shaving the hair in the armpits if you are bothered by the smell of sweat from there. Inadequate cleaning under the armpit means that you can still smell sweat even after a shower.

The most common reason is that the sweat glands are very active. This means they produce more sweat. Then it is common to sweat a lot on the feet, hands and armpits. Some people may also sweat more from other areas or experience that they sweat more all over the body.
Excessive sweating can have several causes but the most common is overactive sweat glands. It is a condition called hyperhidrosis. If you have excessive sweating, you usually notice this by sweating a lot under the armpits, on the palms of the hands and under the feet.
In primary hyperhidrosis, most sweat is produced in the armpits, palms and soles of the feet. You may also experience excessive sweating of the face and abdomen. In secondary hyperhidrosis, sweating usually increases over the entire body.

It is not unusual that in high stress you get an adrenaline rush and the body’s survival instincts kick in and you start sweating and the skin becomes slippery and cold sweaty.
A housewife’s tip: Mix a paste of bicarbonate and water, smear the paste on the sweat stains. Leave on for 30 min. Wash the shirt as usual in the machine together with your other laundry.
If you change your mind or are not completely satisfied with an item, you can cancel or return your order without any particular reason from the day the order is placed up to and including 14 days after receiving the ordered package by notifying in writing and returning the item or simply by sending the item back. When exercising the right of withdrawal, you pay the return shipping. The item must be returned within 14 days from the date on which notice of the exercise of the right of withdrawal was given to IDEAL. The item must be sent well packaged in good condition. If the item is not returned in acceptable condition, IDEAL has the right to make a depreciation deduction.
When you cancel your purchase, IDEAL will refund the amount you paid for the item, including delivery costs. Exceptions apply to any additional delivery costs as a result of you choosing a different delivery method than the standard delivery offered by IDEAL. When part of an order is returned, the delivery cost is not refunded. Products that are in stock are usually delivered within the number of working days shown on the Website. The estimated delivery time for an order is stated in the order confirmation. In the event of delays, we will inform you and continue to monitor the order. You can cancel the order if the delivery is delayed for more than 30 days and the delay was not caused by you.
Depending on the shipping method, you may need to pick up the order from a specific delivery location. You must do so within the time specified on the delivery note.
